Manufacturing Cluster

The Manufacturing Cluster  is supported by a recently formed organisation called Central Coast Manufacturing Connect (CCMC).
Central Coast Manufacturing Connect has been born on a collaboration model of industry groups and sees collaboration as the way forward for sustainable manufacturing industry on the Coast. With its motto “From Collaboration comes Innovation”, it suggests that the ideas of one organisation can be the start of something new in another. The sharing of views, experiences, technology and resources can lead to new processes, an acceleration of new products to market, and an improvement of manufacturing techniques just to name a few benefits.
CCMC currently has two cluster groups, Lean Manufacturing training and development and Sustainability through the Sustainable Advantage program. A third cluster is being worked on which is Supply Chain/ Logistics. These clusters are in their early stages of development with a small number of manufacturers involved in each.
The aim is to add to these clusters a networking program that will allow a broader base of manufacturers who are already practicing in these areas to be involved to share their experiences.
